Internal tools kept getting designed like landing pages — generous hero, starved table, no roles. Every team rebuilt the same shell from a Dribbble shot.

   Metrics first

   The first screen is density: counts, queues, and the thing that is on fire. Atmosphere comes later.

2. 02

   Roles that mean something

   Staff, lead, finance. Permissions are data, not a hidden CSS class.

3. 03

   Pluggable modules

   Orders, catalog, people — each a module the next product can keep or drop.

What changed
